Another percentage win
Dakus won another match playing uncomplicated cricket, defeating Falcons. Mayank was planning to bat first and even after loosing the toss, we were inserted so his wish was fulfilled. I opened the innings with Maulik and we were doing good when Maulik misjudged a ball and got caught. Ball was coming nice to me and we kept playing percentage cricket, basically playing the ball on its merit, rotating the strike and charge when safe. We were heading towards 90+ score (may be touch 100) but few critical wickets fell at wrong time (Raghu even had unfortunate decision against him) so we ended up with 81. Anything above 80 is usually defendable if you bowl reasonably. And we mostly bowled very tight line and fielded superbly although a catch or two could have been taken but they were little on the difficult side, so not much lost. Finally we got them all out for 60 and won the match by 21 runs.
I’m heading off to India after 5 years with a nice feeling to have two successive wins under the belt. Good luck to you all. Just keep playing simple cricket and keep winning.
And most importantly please DO NOT miss any matches. I took Thursday and Friday off to get some rest from my Flu and I’m still on medicine (probably couple more days). We’ve a very good team provided we’re full strength. So please arrange your schedules accordingly.
Good luck for the coming matches… Keep looting points Dakus…
